I just installed Scott's $36 gps module in my motorcycle under the seat. It
consistently get a fix in 10 seconds, and took a whole 50 seconds the first
time I ever powered it up. WOW. With a startup time like that, this opens
up a whole new realm of intelligent trackers that can power up on very short
notice and then go to sleep to save power.

Anyone got any ideas for an extremely low power vibration switch? Something
that would turn on a MOSFET when vibrations started and stay on for 2
minutes after they quit? It sure would be nice to have a vib switch on the
motorcycle. Sure, I could power it from the keyswitch but if the bike is
stolen it would be nice to see where it is even when not switched on.
