I just installed Scott's $36 gps module in my motorcycle under the seat. It consistently get a fix in 10 seconds, and took a whole 50 seconds the first time I ever powered it up. WOW. With a startup time like that, this opens up a whole new realm of intelligent trackers that can power up on very short notice and then go to sleep to save power. https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23&products_id=137&osCsid=f31d840c6f163c396861c8df98d27712

Anyone got any ideas for an extremely low power vibration switch? Something that would turn on a MOSFET when vibrations started and stay on for 2 minutes after they quit? It sure would be nice to have a vib switch on the motorcycle. Sure, I could power it from the keyswitch but if the bike is stolen it would be nice to see where it is even when not switched on.
