We Flew United to New Orleans last December (flights are cheap!!) and I
had my laptop, Pro-96, TH-D7 (on topic, heh), TH-F6, XM Inno, and
assorted chargers, antennas, spare batteries, etc in my laptop bag and
we never had an issue with TSA.
Stop and say hi to the pilots and chat with them for a few when boarding
if you have time. Tell them you are a ham and wish to listen to them
while in the air. Most will offer frequencies to listen on.
I had one steward seem a little concerned with my Pro-96, but I told him
about it and he was fine afterwards.
