Yes, that's exactly how to do it... but.... when the pic processor commands
BCN off BCN ON, if you are doing anything on the display (like entering a
message with the mic), it'll snatch teh display away from you and abort
sending the message.  Kinda aggrivating.

But... set your beacon rate to 30minutes, and time you turn a corner or
anytime you are moving let the smart beacon cause a toggle to BCN command.
I have the code for a basic stamp II kicking around if you wish a copy.
