Hi Bill - thanks for putting this together !

I will be installing a magnetometer hopefully soon to start taking data to
understand how the magnetometer compares to other references.
I've setup mariaDB in a docker container on my server, and exposed port
3306 to access it. I have DBeaver on
my Linux workstation, it is able to access and manage that remote container
via a GUI interface.

Question: Is there value in having the structure of that magnetometer-only
local database in some particular
format so that at a later time it might be easy to merge into the central
server database? If so,
what would you advise?
