I’m thinking about ‘rig control’ for my 2m packet station, which has a single ALINCO DR-135 2m radio on a TNC. The TNC handles the PTT and the audio via a custom-wired serial connection. Has been working great for a couple of years.
Now I want to have JNOS change the frequency of the radio under certain circumstances.
What are people’s experience with hardware rig control from JNOS? And specifically with changing frequency.

I’m also thinking that because frequency is inherently a property of a connection, an individual (local) JNOS user coming in via telnet would not be able to change the frequency. Seems that it must be done only via the JNOS administrative interface. Again, looking for advice on the whole thing. If it’s even possible.

And finally, I am thinking of doing multi-radio work from JNOS. If I configure two interfaces, is it possible that JNOS might transmit on both radios at the same time? (I would like to avoid that.)
