I've had some good success going a more "insane" route -
I have had some good success using a Digi PortServer TS4 ethernet-to-serial bridge..
there are "dgrp" (digi realport) drivers for linux, and they seem stable.
I've been running JNOS2.0i on a virtual machine now for about a year. Before jnos boots, the digi realport drivers are loaded.
They're treated just like normal serial ports on the system (Ubuntu). I can throw the VM on any VirtualBox host, and toss the Digi TS box anywhere I want to house the radios and TNCs.
So far, so good.
:)
Jerry, On my list was to "turn back the clock" and see what it was like on a windows platform. Can you provide more details? Windows version, etc? can I get the older version of jnos to test on windows?
