Russ try this ...in your alias file under the jnos route
you need.
for example ve1fyi ve1fyi at ve1fyi.ampr.org
one for each that you are going to smtp to
after you make this entry as soon as you end your
message it will send it right away...73...Art

Hi Jaye :-)
yeah sucks getting old. I'm in that boat too hahaha. anyhow the lck files never happen till I try to send a sp mail to someone else's system. example sp kl6xxx at kl6xxx.#nak.ak.usa.noam. so maybe I am thinking maybe (been a long time since I was a sysop) I need a route to it or add them to a forward file under a forwarding partner or add them as a forward partner.

Been a long time Russ, but I think if jnos dies, some lock files will linger. Usually a file with .lck or the like. I think I set my startup file to remove any and all lock files on start-up to prevent smtp from falling over. I'm too tired to fire up the old box and look for sure--getting old sucks man. :|
