Bill is talking about JNOS to Telpac using packet, not JNOS to 
AirMail or Winlink using packet. Telpac has (will have) additional
issues to deal with.

Perhaps this is a good time for me to give an update. As far as the HF 
pactor side is concerned, I believe I finally have things working with B1,
and I would not be surprised if the VHF side already works with B1. I just
haven't had the time (or desire to some degree) to try Airmail to JNOS on
plain old packet. It's too much of a pain for me to connect equipment.

The Airmail and Winlink B1 is FBB compatible, so packet should work for
sure. It's always been the HF side that I've had problems with, but that
is because of mistakes I made implementing the DXP38 driver. As of the
other day, I can actually forward B1 (compressed stuff) from AIrmail to
my JNOS server side pactor. It's simply awesome, and I got it working
without DATA loss now, which has also been a past problem. I hope to
have a software update for the DXP stuff in a few weeks.

The REAL good news is that I've been chatting with a few of the 
WINLINK developers, and suffice to say - I  probably have enough
info now to be able to add B2 support to JNOS ! WHich is awesome,
and I think we need to acknowledge the WINLINK people for this.
