Hello all,

I'm sure nothing like this has ever happened to you before…

You go shopping for something and it looks like it’s PERFECT for your
needs! So you take the plunge and put it through its paces.

A couple of days later - nuts and bolts start shooting out in every which
direction and you say to yourself “Oh my! What have I done?”

Well - it happened to APRS Foundation. And I take full responsibility. I
was the one that shopped around. I had looked at free/low cost membership
management solutions in the past and…well they’re basically in the category
of “you get what you pay for.”

Then I found Raklet and said - this looks different. It looks like just
what we need to make it easy for our new members to join us in our efforts
to Ensure the future of APRS!

That is until we found some members were getting billed more than once. I’m
sorry - I don’t have patience for that sort of thing.

I woke up this morning and instantly began searching for a solution to
replace it. I found JoinIt. I read a lot of reviews. I signed up for a demo
account and put it through its paces.

If you’re interested, check out their website:

https://joinit.com

It’s a far more mature solution. They have support that responds (imagine
that concept!). It’s a piece of cake to get set up.

And they even take care of migrating members over from competing solutions
for no charge!

So - a few things:

1. I’m sorry for exposing you all to a piece of crap solution

2. We will painstakingly go through each sign up to ensure you weren’t
billed more than one time. If you were, I assure you you WILL be reimbursed
for the additional charge(s). Stripe says 5 to 7 days - but they seem to
get the refunds processed in 2 to 3 days. Raklet is the membership
management solution - Stripe handles the payment processing. They are also
who handles the payment processing with JoinIt.

3. Your membership will be migrated to the new solution as soon as it’s
ready and you won’t have to do anything - outside of possibly reset your
password. Your start/end date will be preserved and your profile data will
carry over.

Oh and you may need to upload your headshot again! We want to see your
pretty faces!!!

4. I commit to continued transparency to everyone. We are all in this
together. I’m sorry this happened and I promise we will do our due
diligence x2 next time something like this comes up.

Any of you are welcomed to reach out to me individually if you do run into
any issues. APRS Foundation WILL make it right.

5. We will make it very clear when the new solution is in place - ideally
by Sunday night (if not sooner).

Let’s put our energy into something more fun and productive like APRS…shall
we??? :-D

Thanks for being understanding y’all!
