Thanks, Stephen and Bob,

Yes, the PTT option is available on the Kenwoods that I have. It is absent
on the Yaesus.

The "native" Mic-E capability is awe inspiring for me! Select an APRS data
rate of 9600 and the Mic-E packet will sound like a squelch tail on the
voice transmission!

What sophisticated "kit"!
