It works just in case we really need to track absurdly fast objects but
maybe not for everything

Voyager 1  = 955 (38,610 MPH and assuming 700 MPH/Mach)
Voyager 2 = 951 (35,970 MPH)
Pioneer 10 = 938 (26,900 MPH)
Pioneer 11 = 936 (25,450 MPH)
New Horizons = 952 (36,373 MPH)

Juno = EEE (164,700 MPH max orbital speed)
