I don't find it useful, not nearly specific enough. Every state where I've needed it in my travels has 511 traffic sites with detailed info of road closures and often highway cams that are far more useful, giving specifics of the problems, ETAs until clearance, of alternate routes if available.

But mobile internet is so ubiquitous these days who cares? Yes, I can hear the screams already. In an emergency when the internet is out then you can enter significant events manually. That is a much better answer than to flood the country with computer generated data the duplicates what is available from many other sources.

Here in the Keys there are traffic speed and count sensors in the road that feed by RF (non-ham) directly to the EOC. I'm sure any other area dependent on single evac routes has similarly prepared.
