Hi Greg,

Check out the "UPS PIco" from modmypi.com. It is a UPS for the PI. When the
power shuts down in the vehicle, the PI can go into a shutdown sequence.
This should protect the SD card from corruption.

I picked up two of these but have not yet used them but they look promising.
