that made no sense.  Let's try:

you could hit scenarios where the engine shuts off, accessory voltage drops
causing a shutdown, but then you decide to crank up again - so the power
never goes off, so the Pi doesn't come back without manual intervention or
a vehicle shutdown long enough to drop accessory power.
