[aprssig] Extra hop?

Anyone know why I'm seeing stations originating from N3XJT-1 digi that are
arriving with an extra hop than originally intended? a 2 hop path appears
to be going 3 and a 3 hop path appears to be hoing 4. Below are 3 examples
all seen just before typing this..

If I look on aprs.fi this station appears to be using a path of
WIDE1-1,WIDE2-2 but here is what I'm seeing

I guess this is more a question out of curiosity. Maybe someone else is
seeing this? Is it possible N3XJT-1 is duplicating the W1-1?
