Oh, you can also send battery voltage and temperature at the digipeater site 
too!
One of my sites is solar powered, so I can keep an eye on the batteries. 
Currently
fed from the 8Vdc power on the mic jack of a 2M rig, so reads steady 8.X 
Volts.
