Steve  Dimse has a good idea.  A change of the BTEXT announcing a special
event and asking all users to hold off  unless they are part of the
experiment.  It would include a LINK to a web page describing the event.

At this point, I have no idea what that might be, but it is a simple change
and makes available the opportunity to do special events with instant
notification at some time in the future without committing any special
wording or settings now.
