I have now carried out two battery-powered runs following full 100% overnight 
charges.   Note that this is a new unit whose battery may not yet be 
conditioned to full capacity by several full discharge-charge cycles.

I ran the test with the display set to 50% brightness which seems to be the 
lowest intensity comfortable for interactive operation. During the tests, I was 
running UIview 2.03, the Precision Mapping V9 server and the UZ7HO Soundmodem 
software TNC running continuously for off-the-air reception on a busy two meter 
channel.   I.e. the sound system was in continuous use by the Soundmodem DSP 
routines.   WiFi was turned on, but no Internet connection was active.

The results:  Just about exactly 4 hours run time before the battery hit 5% 
capacity and triggered an automatic shutdown.  This was a complete 
comprehensive shut down (not a "sleep" or "hibernation" mode).  I.e. when I 
connected the charger and rebooted the machine, the applications that had been 
running were not open.
