Hi Bob,
Ok, I think I understand that (still learning the ins and outs of APRS).
The perspective I was coming from...for the application I was thinking of
(tracking SAG positions of vehicles in a public service event) a 3 minute
beacon would be problematic...as we are trying to accurately track position
for deployment purposes- we generally try to either use Smartbeaconing, or
set beacon rates of 30 secs to 1 minute.
