Hi Eric,

Another factor it to try and make it easier for newcomers to APRS. All a 
new user has to do is to enter their callsign and passcode and they can 
start beaconing and messaging right away.

Once they are hooked and can see what what they can get out of APRS they 
can then move on to programs or apps with more options.
