NO. External programs linking to AGWpe are fine.

Exactly! The UZ7HO "Soundmodem" replaces AGWpe itself, and faithfully mimics
the TCP/IP interface of AGW. Any program such as UIview, APRSpoint, APRS+SA,
Winlink, etc that can link to AGW as a soundcard TNC can use the Soundmodem
instead with NO changes at all.

Note that UZ7HO only duplicates the soundcard "Soft TNC" function of AGW and
it's associated IP interface. UZ7HO does NOT provide the multiple KISS
interfaces to hardware TNCs, and multiple serial-port sharing capabilities of
the original AGWpe.

Further, the Soundmodem lacks the legacy alternate interface based on Windows
DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) that some really old AGW-using apps (like G4IDE's
WinPack) depend on. Only newer AGW-using apps based on the TCP/IP interface
will work with the Soundmodem.
