Would you really rather that UZ7HO do all the work to implement a new
soft TNC and then invent some different set of API calls to expose
it's functionality? It wouldn't have been any more work for him to do
so, but then his software would not be compatible with existing tools.
I don't see how reinventing this wheel would have helped anyone at
all.
