Is it OK to write a client program that uses AGWPE as its TNC back-end, and communicates with AGWPE using the published TCPIP protocol (in the develop.zip file)?

Hi PSE do NOT emulate Packet Engine TCPIP Protocol is proprietary and not allowed to reverse engineering it. At least ask for permissions !!! 73 (SV2AGW) George RossopouloshttP://www.sv2agw.comhttp://www.agwtracker.comhttp://www.facebook.com/agwpe From: aprssig-bounces at tapr.org [mailto:aprssig-bounces at tapr.org] On Behalf Of Stephen H. Subject: [aprssig] New Version 0.45 of UZ7HO "Soundmodem" Soundcard TNC Released Version 0.45 of the UZ7HO "Soundmodem" software TNC was relased on 19 Oct 2012. This software soundcard TNC is a direct drop-in replacement for the AGW Packet Engine.

The newest version is now up on my website, repacked into a standard Windows wizard-type automated installer that creates an install folder, Start Menu entries, and desktop shortcut. Go to:

Scroll down the list of downloadable stuff and look for "UZ7H) Soundmodem Beta Ver 0.45".

A portion of the changelog for the new version is posted below. SCM v0.45b changes:- Added "6dB Pre-Emphasis filter" option. Pre-Emphasis filter it's a high-pass filter that emphasizes the high frequencies in the audio spectrum. Preemphasis increases the level of high frequencies by 6dB per octave. It might help to receive signals at 1200 and 2400 bauds if the frequency response of the receiver is not a "flat".- Added "UTCTime" option for indicate the time in UTC format. (1=On / 0=Off)- Added "NRMonitorLines" option for limit number of lines "Monitor" window (10-65535).- Improved compatibility with the AGWPE and MixW AX.25 Protocol (reduction of REJ collisions) and fixed some small bugs. SCM v0.44b changes:- Added "ExcludeCallsigns", "ExcludeAPRSFrmType" options for blocking unwanted traffic.- Changed sound output in the SCO mode (now works in mono).- By default, software is configured for single port.- Added 2400 baud modem in the list.
