[aprssig] Field Day 2011 and APRS

That’s exactly why we established the Great Annual Golden Packet event.  
www.aprs.org/at-golden-packet.html  (this year on 24 July 2011).

It encourages attempting the longest linear distance on VHF packet and
having fun outdoors while doing it!  There are teams forming for the
Appalachian Trail and for the Pacific Coast Trail.  Anyone else is welcome
to join these efforts or to start one of their own along any of the 50,000
miles of LINEAR National Trails in the USA!

There are hundreds of mountain and hill tops to climb!
