For an all-in-one-box solution, the Kenwood is probably THE ONE.  However, even the latest model can't be everything to everybody.  If you have the room, it's hard to beat a laptop/TNC/radio setup.  IF you have the room.

Hello:

So I see most folks use the Kenwood D710A as their APRS mobile
transceiver of choice (I see Bob does!).

Is this THE unit to own (most complete APRS implementation)?  Any
other notables?
