Start planning for this years national APRS Golden Packet Event.

25 July 2010 we want to get APRS hikers and outdoors types to
activatge as many of the long natinoal hiking trails and try to
send APRS messages over hundreds of miles.  See the web page

The Appalachian Trail teams will form again this year.
Does anyone want to coordinate the Pacific Crest Trial?
The Contental Divide Trail?
The National Trail (Lewis can Clark trail)
Any others?

There are 50,000 miles of long linear National trails.
Climb or drive to one near you to participate.

Of the 14 teams for the Appalachain trail, 12 were drive-up, so
this can be a non strenuous event for most people and it only
lasts 4 hours or so on a Sunday..  But if you are a hiker, your
skills will be valued at many of the harder to reach sites!

Start thinking about it...

I need some coordinators for each trail..
