I think the TH-D7 (I own one) suffers from the typical Small-Box-Gadget 
Syndrome (c); i.e.  too many functions & features  controlled by a 
too-small keyboard with too few buttons  resulting in too many menus 
with too many levels presented on a screen with too few 
pixels/lines/characters.     

This seems to be an endemic problem with most cell phones, PDAs, 
hand-held display GPS devices, TV remote controls, digital cameras, 
etc.
