Works perfect on both my TM-D700
I think the different versions of the TM-D700 all suports different 
paths in the PM

First select i.e PM1
Change everything regarding APRS menus
Enable the APRS/tnc mode
Store the PM1

Then select i.e PM2
Change everything regarding APRS menus
Enable the APRS/tnc mode
Store the PM2

I have one setup for APRS on 144.800 and another one when doing APRS via 
i.e ISS
