According to the Wikipedia article on SiRF III chipset at:

The following GPS receivers use SiRF III

    * In 2005 Garmin choose SiRF for selected new Garmin devices including
the new 60csx, 60cx, 76csx and 76cx models.
    * The Garmin Forerunner/Edge 205/305.
    * TomTom Go 910, 710, 510, and One are equipped with SiRF III
    * The Node Explorer uses the SiRF III chipset
    * The 2007 Mio Digi Walker 510c, C310x, C220 and C250 all use SiRF III
    * Microsoft Streets & Trips 2007 with GPS Locator uses SiRF star III

I expect there are more, but this is a start.

I don't think it's a number-of-channels issue. They seem to be able
to receive at lower S/N ratios. Perhaps they have additional
channels as well, I don't know. I agree that it'd be good to get
real values in the table so that we can cover additional "good
things" that might come up in the future, as well as not get older
units classified in the category I listed.

I remember going from the Garmin 1-channel multiplexed between 8
satellite units to the 12-channel parallel units. This new jump in
capability with the SiRF chipsets appears to be of a similar nature
in usuability, if you can believe the nice things people are saying
aobut them.

I still have some Trimble SV6 boards...
