Absolutely.  PropNET sends a single 1200 baud TX every 5 minutes.  Other channel uses are welcomed with open arms (how's *that* for inter-hobby cooperation?). :)

Here's a word of caution.  The 2m band raster is different in different areas of the country.  In SoCal 147.585 is not available due to repeater use of a different raster.  However...this frequency seems to work fine over 95% of the continent.

By all means, join us on 147.585.
