While there must be many UI-View users on this list, your question
should really be asked over on the UI-View list.

While the above setting will help reduce QRM on 144.390, it won't do
much to enhance your presence on APRS in North America. I would suggest
changing it to 144.390. The first line is just a comment. The second
line sets the operating frequency in the D700 when you are using it in
UI-View...

If you leave that ON, the D700 continue to digipeat. Any D700/UI-View
users that would care to comment on this? I suppose it could be feasible
to leave it set on with UIDIGI set to WIDE1-1 and let the D700 digi
independantly of UI-View. If you want UI-View to take over the digipeat
function, the D700 would have to be in KISS mode. A few people have
reported they can get away with it, but most people run into problems
because of the small buffer in the D700s TNC.
