         I found it --

         "Back in the day" -- around 1997 --we had to use a different 
map for each county we wanted to see weather information for.  The 
total number for the whole United States was 3284 files!  They had 
names like  AKKODIAK.map.  Here's the blurb I included with the zip 
file containing ALL the maps:
