All these hops!  West of the Rockies (where our digis are on hill-tops
instead of water towers) WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 is enough for a mobile station to
set for routine or special event use, and plain WIDE2-2 does the job for a
home or Base (fixed, non-moving) station.  These two-hop digipaths are
enough to get the stations seen on the internet and over a broad area on
VHF.  Have you tried them?  Many commuters find plain WIDE1-1 is adequate
for their routine needs.
