The VXA-700 does 2 meters with no mods. See http://www.rfwiz.com/VertexStandard/Portables/VXA-700_InfoDat.htm for specs. I thought the 710 was a newer model with wider FM transmit capability. I could be wrong, it wouldn't hurt to check before anyone actually buys one.
