The biggest differences between real APRS and FRS style position  
reporting are that, with FRS:

- every data transmission must be the result of a person pushing a  
button.  A station is allowed to respond to a request automatically,  
but the request must be the result of an operator request on the  
other end.

- no digipeaters are allowed.  period.
