[aprssig] Not a UK call?

CEPT radio amateur licenses http://www.cept.org/ are valid in all CEPT 
countries also in IARP countries.
In AX.25 there is no way to put something like G0/SQ9DXF. APRS gives you 
information about QTH.
What callsign would you want to use running through other countries with 
APRS?

Who or what is SQ9DXF ?

Located Saint Johns Road Wallingford, UK.

That's not a UK call as far as we know.

Something about Xastir and SunOS in the beacon.  A frend who works
nearby may shout at them on 145.400 (as the beacon says) and see if
anything transpires, but why the strange call, and no UK alias?...
