[aprssig] GPS-20 keeps giving me $GPMRC with 'V' for invalid ...

I guess my question is how long have you let the puck run?  Could take
up to 24 minutes to get a full ephermis update.  Many times people would
complain about their tripmates not getting locks when they just hadn't
left it on long enough.  I jokingly tell them to leave their tripmate
alone with plenty of fresh air and sunshine for 1/2 a day and they
always report back that it works.  Perhaps the same is true here?

I just checked findu and I don't see your car anywhere near your house....
