I checked out the SLA Charger. Here is what I found:
Product Subtotal:  $14.95 
 Shipping Cost:  $23.95 
 Order Total:  $38.90 

I am not going to pay $23.95 shipping cost! I'll keep looking for a good low cost unit.

Basically the same thing available as a kit for $CDN14.95 (<$US12) here http://www.projectx.com/Kits/GelCell/UsersGuide.asp. The schematic and parts lists are also available there if you think you can build it yourself cheaper. I've had one for years and am very satisfied with it.
