It's the reason I (can) run a truck-mount touch-screen PC running
Linux/Xastir in my Jeep...  Laptops or PDA's are too fragile, take
special mounting and several cables.  Wasn't what I was looking for.
A D700A or a HamHud don't give me mapping.

APRSce.  Go to the APRS Client Comparisons link listed below (it's
on the left of the page).  At the bottom of the comparisons page are
links to each of the major APRS software homepages.

Xastir doesn't run on this class of machine (PDA) to date.  You
_can_ replace the WinCE OS with Linux, but I don't know if you can
install full X-windows and a window manager and all too.  If so,
there's certainly a chance that Xastir could run on that machine.
