         Well -- many of the 50 stations within 96 miles of me are in 
Amarillo, and there is NO path between them and me.  If I look 96 miles 
west of me, I see NO human users, just a couple of digis.  The nearest 
human users that I can see with any regularity are in Roswell (just over 
100 miles) and Albuquerque (around 220 miles).

         Another way of saying this is that 3 hops, giving me 96 miles, 
don't get me any users.  And I just don't enjoy watching digis, I like to 
see stations that have actual human operators, and I like to see them move.

         Yes, you're right -- back east is completely different.

         Tell you what -- look at these pictures, they may tell the 
story.  I'll leave them up for a couple of days.
