UIDWAIT does have an equivalent or something close to it. Not
exactly, but good enough.

UIDWAIT=0 can closely be achieved on a UIDIGI system with the
following commands:

PPersistence=255
SlotTime=1

It is the best you can do to get the digi to seize the channel with a 
UIDIGI.
