Yes, I use my D700 for 3 simultaneous Packet downlinks
from PCsat. The internal TNC is on Band A at 9600.
The external 1200/9600 baud KPC-9612 is on the B
side. This way I can receive 3 of the 4 channels of
telemetry from PCsat at the same time with the same
radio. The 9612 can receive both 1200 and 9600 at the
same time.

Also with the D700 and D7(g) you can operate cross band
TX=A  RX=B or TX=B, RX=A.

Wihle using the external TNC, the external TNC is automatically
switched to what ever band is seleted for PTT.

Hello,
This is a little late to respond but I didn't know
that you can run data on both sides, you have to
select the data for A or B. To connect an external
computer, etc. for client program to control the
packet you want to run, it will tie up the data side
and not pay any attention to the other as in this
suggested example.
Please let me know if you have indeed done this to run
two different packet systems at the same time.

Chris
