Not if SmartBeaconing(tm) is enabled.

There's a local Radio Shack where I can park right up next to the
front door. Put the tracker at 50W and it makes the doorbell go off
every so often while you're in there.
I run the APO switch and an OpenTracker. The OpenTracker switches
from a Jeep to a Hiker symbol when I park, also goes from
SmartBeaconing(tm) to a slow fixed transmit rate at that point. The
APO switch shuts everything off 15-30 minutes or so after I park.
So far it has worked well and I always have enough juice left to
start the darned thing. Because I don't have to manually turn
anything on/off anymore it also keeps my hands out of the tracker
box, which makes tracking much more reliable.
