On 10.143 Mhz Dial (USB), running the latest Mercury V2 OFDM software
modem and JNOS, connected to both K7EK and N2MH several times tonight,
both of them also using Mercury V2, but with BPQ systems instead.

Subject: encouraging results this evening

Well, got a few B1F forward sessions going between JNOS and BPQ this
evening, some messages passed, a couple stalled out due to fading by
the looks of it, at some point it almost looked like both sides were
starting to transmit over each other, hard to explain. The software
for the modem still has a few quirks from what I am told, so having
the conditions as they were tonight did not help any, but still.
The fact I am able to connect, or even forward to another station using
the Mercury V2 software, is very encouraging, even if there's a hickup,
then I just try it again later type of thing. It'll get figured out.
I don't run an automated system, it's all manual. Of course if someone
connects to me and initiates a forward, then they can pick off any msgs
waiting for them.
The distance between N2MH or K7EK and Winnipeg is around 2000 km ?
That's all for now, I plan to write up the configuration, and post
some notes down the road, plus a few video clips ? will let people
know when that's been done.
