Ben,

For a connection to Linux you need a kiss link but after watching another video and looking in the default config.json file I see a serial-tnc listed what might be usable.
When starting Pat with 'pat-winlink -l serial-tnc http' I receive, 2024/12/20 01:50:33 serial-tnc listen not implemented, ignoring. So it seems we are out of luck. I should
just make a kiss link to Linux as described in one of the YouTube videos, as you always can connect to it in that way from JNOS.

I’m been trying to figure out how to have JNOS offer up a virtual serial port for pat to connect as a KISS endpoint. At least that’s how I understand what you were saying is a possible path. I can see how to setup pat to connect to a KISS TNC via serial port, but am unsure how to get JNOS to offer one. Direwolf creates a /dev/pts/X device and that’s what I’m having JNOS attach asy to for sending packets out the RF port. Any an all guidance on how to setup this kiss link would be appreciated. I’ve been pouring over the documentation and all I’ve managed to do so far is get JNOS to crash repeatedly. Thanks again!
