  Does the BOX that BPQ runs on know how to get back to jnos VIA the 
linux box ?

  On your windows (I assume) box, you have to have a route :

     route add X via Y

  where X is the ip address of the JNOS side of the tun interface on linux
             Y is the ip address of the linux box hosting JNOS

  Use route -P X via Y to make it persistent (permanent)

Probably because the router has no idea how to get back to JNOS, same
idea as what I mentioned above. Also ipv4_forward needs to be enabled
on the linux box hosting JNOS, I'll let you figure out that part.
