JNOS has it's own IP stack, it is a variant of the original KA9Q NOS,
like other programs such as MFNOS, TNOS, Wampes, and so on.

There are NO calls to any UNIX or LINUX socket libraries. It is all
built into NOS itself, so the only way out is using an interface such
as SLIP (from the old async days) or TUN (the more recent times). Once
you have a way out, then the rest is usually creative routing to get
to other interfaces. In the DOS days, there was a packet driver, to
get NOS 'onto' the ethernet, it's been many years since I played.
