I now have a new jnosNR repository setup for the 'next release'.
If anyone is bored, check out my 'next release' repository and test it
please, same feature set as the official rsync, but with fixes to deal with
some of the issues recently uncovered with Ubuntu 19.04 and maybe
others ? Please let me know. It works on my 19.04 Ubuntu VM !
The tun issue should be fixed, and winlink secure login should work now.
You will still need the -lcrypto library package installed in your linux.
(ignore the warnings for now, they'll get fixed eventually)
NOTE : the winlink password file under /jnos/users is NOT encrypted
anymore, but it's still mangled with ascii 1 and 0 so it won't be obvious
what the password is anyways, this is the only way for me to fix this at
this time. That is why you MUST regenerate the password. The old file
will not work (for obvious reasons). I have had to abandon encryption
of the file for now, since -lcrypt is deemed 'obsolete' now, and I don't
want to rush into finding a replacement to do that.
cd < empty directory >
rsync -av www.langelaar.net::jnos2NR .
make clean
make
NOTE : generates a new 'jnos', 'jnosinstaller', and 'jnospwmgr' !
Copy all binaries to your /jnos area, then WIPE out /jnos/users/<file>,
you will then have to return the jnospwmgr in /jnos as follows :
./jnospwmgr -a <your winlink callsign> -w
to generate a new winlink password file entry. After this is done, you
should be able to do your 'mbox kick Wl2k' again to send/receive.
