[nos-bbs] ipip tunnels

I've noticed for several days now an issue with version k.
When it starts up and links to other stations such as mine that is still
running j all looks good.
After a few hours I notice that the link to that station disappeared from
my list.
When I try to poll that link there's no reply back.  When that station
reverts back to j the link will stay forever.   Is that part of the
compilation of version k or something else in the code?
